We’re excited to announce that James’ Place has been chosen as Merseyrail’s Charity of the Year 2020.
Employees at Merseyrail voted for James’ Place as their chosen charity and will fundraise throughout 2020 to support our work helping in men suicidal crisis. Merseyrail kicked off their support with a £10,000 donation, presented at the Mersey Rail Stakeholder reception, which brought together local organisations, shareholders and politicians.
“James’ Place provides invaluable support to men feeling suicidal and the services they offer save lives right across the Liverpool City Region.
We’re very much looking forward to working with James’ Place this year, and to supporting the charity’s valuable efforts to make a difference to the lives of these men and their families.” – Jane English, Merseyrail’s HR Director
Since our launch in 2018, we’ve helped over 250 men in suicidal crisis and this support from Merseyrail throughout the year will help us reach even more men in crisis.
“We are so pleased and grateful to be chosen as Merseyrail’s Charity of the Year. It means a great deal to me, and to all the team at James’ Place, that the employees themselves have voted to support us.
We opened in Liverpool 18 months ago, and have been profoundly touched by how readily our work has been welcomed. We look forward to a great year ahead.” – Clare Milford Haven, Founder of James’ Place
