Over £34,500 Raised for James' Place at the Great North Run
James' Place
23/09/26

Huge congratulations to our extraordinary group of fundraisers who took on the Great North Run in support of James’ Place this year, raising an incredible £34,954.
On 13 September, a total of 35 fundraisers chose to run on behalf of James’ Place, collectively raising enough to help fund life-saving treatment for 17 men experiencing suicidal crisis. This outstanding achievement will make a real difference, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who dedicated their time and effort to supporting our work.
A special thank you also goes to our James’ Place team, Ashleigh, Sophie, Billy and Alan, who were there throughout the day to welcome runners to the marquee, offer support and encouragement, and celebrate their achievement. Their enthusiasm and dedication helped make the day a memorable experience for everyone involved.
Thank you to Beanbag Bazaar, Deep North, CleanCo and Asda for helping us create a welcoming charity marquee where runners could relax, refuel and celebrate after the race.
The atmosphere around the charity village was fantastic, and it was wonderful to see so many charities coming together to support their runners. We were proud to be surrounded by incredible organisations including the Mental Health Foundation, If U Care Share Foundation, Tyneside and Northumberland Mind, Samaritans, Andy’s Man Club, and many others, all making a positive difference in their communities.
We’re incredibly grateful to all of our runners, supporters, staff and partners for helping make the event such a fantastic success. Your support, encouragement and generosity helped create a memorable day for everyone involved.
