Over 6,000 people die by suicide in the UK each year, and three quarters of these are men.
At James’ Place, we want to make sure that help is available for every man facing a suicidal crisis and support them to find hope for the future.
We offer specialist therapeutic help to men facing a suicidal crisis. These men fall in an identified gap in service provision; not showing signs of severe mental illness but at great risk of taking their own life.
The support we offer is free and focused on each man’s needs.
Our work is made possible by generous donations from individuals and organisations. Building on our success in Liverpool and London, we know how crucial it is for more men across the country to be able to reach a James’ Place. That is why we are embarking on a new £10m appeal to enable us to open three further centres by 2025. If you would like to discuss making a gift directly to the appeal, please contact amy.swart@jamesplace.org.uk.
